Dr. Darryl Hudson received his PhD in Molecular Biology & Genetics from the University of Guelph, Canada in 2010. Following a postdoctoral fellowship, he has focused the majority of his time towards the emerging Cannabis industry. After helping to form a Cannabis production company in 2013 under the newly established Canadian MMPR regulations, Dr. Hudson moved on to work as a consultant for projects around the globe. With a focus on both quality and safety, he continues to utilize his expertise to optimize cultivation and quality assurance protocols within the Cannabis industry. He has published research articles in diverse fields including plant biology/genetics, DNA repair, epigenetics, cancer and Cannabis.
Dr. Hudson currently operates an advanced research laboratory (InPlanta Biotechnology) in Canada focused on Cannabis genetics, cultivation and breeding. In 2016, he also co-founded a medical diagnostic company (Pathways Rx) that works to identify specific ailments using advanced biotechnology in order to more accurately match drugs or Cannabis varieties to a patients’ individual needs. Through his work in the Cannabis industry, Dr. Hudson has become involved with the treatment of PTSD, specifically in military veterans. This includes breeding new Cannabis varieties designed specifically developed to alleviate the symptoms of PTSD. He remains an advocate for quality, affordable medicine produced from the Cannabis plant while also overseeing hundreds of acres of hemp cultivation for food and fiber.Share This
