Elizabeth G. Dost is a registered nurse and senior healthcare executive, with more than 20 years experience in the Boston area health care market. She is currently serving as a Senior Executive Consultant in Emerging Industries, most noticeably in Medical Cannabis. Ms. Dost is a Cannabis Nurse and Nominating Committee member of the American Cannabis Nurse Association, member of the Society for Cannabis Clinicians, Americans for Safe Access, Patients Out of Time, and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) where she serves on their speaker’s list. She is a registered participant of My Compassion and the Medical Cannabis Institute. Beth has been a featured guest on radio; nationally as a presenter at Women Grow Boston and Phoenix, the New England Cannabis Convention, and the Massachusetts’ Federation of Hospice and Palliative Care. Ms. Dost is presenting cannabis and hospice at the May ’17 NHPCO Leadership Convention in Washington DC, and has been interviewed for DOPE Magazine, an LA Times subsidiary, and Hemp News for Patients Out of Time to name a few. She speaks annually at Stonehill College on business, marketing and healthcare. Ms. Dost advocates for patients and dispensaries at the town and state level in her role as the Clinical Director of the Massachusetts Patients Advocacy Alliance, (MPAA).
Prior to her work in cannabis, Ms. Dost was the Vice President and Executive Director of a non-profit, multi-site hospice company where she established a mission and culture of compassion to all persons and their loved ones seeking end of life health care and support. An outspoken advocate for patients, her resume’ includes; CEO and President of Primary Health Services, Inc., a premier pediatric home care company which was a nationally recognized provider of home care services to medically complex, fragile children who would otherwise face long-term hospitalization; CCO of a private duty aftercare and eldercare service company, and Director of Clinical Services for a skilled nursing home based hospice company.
Elizabeth G. Dost was awarded Ernst and Young, Merrill Lynch and Inc. Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Healthcare, New England Region and is a member of their elite group Alumni. She has received Special Recognition by the Massachusetts’ Department of Public Health for services provided to a foster child suffering from AIDS; was an invited participant to the US Surgeon General’s Conference in Washington, DC, and has been a sought after public speaker on cannabis, leadership, entrepreneurship, pain management, death and dying with dignity. Notably, Ms. Dost was called upon to speak statewide on behalf of all hospices in Massachusetts for the Coalition Against Physician Assisted Suicide.
