Core Curriculum for Cannabis Nursing sponsored by the American Cannabis Nurses Association

This 6 contact hour pre-conference workshop will include an overview of cannabis as medicine including history, federal status, and current legal status.

The nurse’s role in patient care and education regarding the safe use of cannabis, including ingestion methodologies and interactions with prescription opiates, will also be discussed.

Advanced Core Curriculum – Beyond the Basics sponsored by the American Cannabis Nurses Association

ACNA’s advance curriculum is a course designed to enhance the basic principles in the core curriculum.

Nurses working in the field will expand on topics such as safe extraction methods, psychiatric illnesses, legal implications, oncology and hospice and palliative care.

Clinical Cannabis Practicum sponsored by the Society of Cannabis Clinicians

This course is the first of its kind, presenting the nuts and bolts for conducting a medical cannabis evaluation.

The 6-hour interactive course will feature 5 sample case presentations by cannabis clinicians including patient interviews, data forms, clinical decisions, and patient education. The faculty will also present state regulations, practice standards, and practice tips they have learned.
